Submissions
Please note, Spectrum Magazine only accepts submissions from
Northeastern University students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
No Theme!
We accept art, photography, poetry, prose, dramatic scripts, etc.
No submission may be over 5 pages, double-spaced, size 12 font. This is
approximately 2,000 words.
While you may submit as much and as often as you wish, we would
appreciate if you only sent us your best 6 submissions at a time.
To submit:
Put each submission in its own file labeled 'Author - Title.'
All submissions must include in the top right corner of the
document (or on a separate cover page/in the body of the email for
artwork):
-Author's name
-Title of the work
-Author's contact info (email, address,
phone)
-Layout and tabulation specifications, if any*
*The staff at Spectrum experiments with page layout. If you have a
specific layout in mind, please inform us when you submit your work.
1. Email your work to spectrum.magazine@gmail.com.
-Format art as a .jpg with a 300dpi
resolution
-Format writing as a Word (.doc) or text (.txt)
file
In the subject line, type your name and the
submission's title.
-If you have more than one
submission, type your name and "submissions" in the subject line.
-List all of the titles in the
body of the email.

2. Drop off hard copies of your work in the Spectrum mailbox at 434
Curry Student Center.
Please note that if a piece is not accepted for a particular semester,
Spectrum Literary Arts Magazine archives your work and may print it in a
future issue. Spectrum will contact any authors prior to publication to
explain the details.
